Our Story
Founded on June 27, 1983, in New Haven, Connecticut, VN Engineers was born from the shared vision of two civil engineers, Sofia Nirshberg and Ray Volpe. Since its founding, ownership has transitioned to Robert Gomez, Tracy Kaplan, Amanda Marino, and Michael Murdock, who have guided the firm’s evolution from a Connecticut-based CEI and traffic engineering practice into a full-service engineering operation with offices along the East Coast. Today, VN Engineers is a thriving team of over 100 professionals, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across Connecticut, Florida, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
