The Grand Central Terminal Leaks Remediation Project will repair water leak infiltration from surrounding buildings, streets, and sidewalks into the Grand Central Terminal complex which is vulnerable to water leakage from rain, melting snow, and subsurface water sources. It will consist of the viaduct roadway resurfacing and the 45th Street bridge facade work. The project will also improve the one-hundred-year-old Grand Central Terminal water proofing protection system.

VN Engineers responsibilities include providing construction inspection services to repair water leak infiltration damage from the surrounding buildings, streets, and sidewalks into the Grand Central Terminal complex. Monitor construction to assure conformance with drawings and specifications. Calculate actual construction project lengths, areas, and volumes to support authorization of payments. Responsible for quality of following operations. Demolition, waterproofing, and reconstruction of roadway surface of Vanderbilt Ave between 42nd St and 45th St. Resurfacing of roadway surface of the Park Avenue Viaduct around the Metlife Building and the Grand Central Terminal. Renovation of the 100-year old decorative panels on the northbound and southbound 45th Street bridges of the Park Avenue Viaduct. Restoration of the masonry façade and balustrade of the Grand Central Terminal to eliminate water damage. Rehabilitation of the waterproofing protection systems of the roadways and sidewalks over the various tunnels and areas of the Grand Central Terminal.
