Penn Station Access (PSA) is a MTA project that will create a new link for MTA Metro-North Railroad (MNR) New Haven Line (NHL) trains directly into Penn Station, New York (PSNY). As part of this project, four new passenger stations will be built along Amtrak’s Hell Gate Line (HGL) in the Bronx – near Co-op City, Morris Park, Parkchester/Van Nest, and Hunts Point. This project includes adding new interlockings and tracks, realigning some existing tracks and curves, upgrading power and signal systems, and replacing and upgrading existing railroad bridges as necessary.

VN Engineers was commissioned to review, analysis, and develop optimized train schedules and rail infrastructures by means of Rail Traffic Controller (RTC) software, drafting of technical memos and reports, performing documentation QA/QC and participation in monthly progress meetings with the client.
