VN Engineers, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Jason Cardinal, PE, CCM, as our new National Director. With over 25 years of experience in the transportation and infrastructure industry, Jason brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and strategic insight that will support VN’s continued growth across national markets.
In his new role, Jason will lead national operations and business development efforts, focusing on expanding VN Engineers’ presence in key transportation sectors across the country. He will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation, ensure project excellence, and cultivate long-term client relationships.
Jason’s professional background spans both the public and private sectors, including experience with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), MBTA, Amtrak, Metro-North, and CTDOT, among many others. He has successfully overseen major rail, transit, highway, and bridge programs valued in the billions – taking on roles from quality inspection and resident engineering to full program management.
Prior to joining VN Engineers, Jason managed operations and strategic pursuits for a leading engineering firm, where he also supported company-wide init
iatives across regional and national markets. His efforts significantly strengthened their New England presence while supporting technical excellence and team development.
Jason is a Certified Construction Manager and a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. He also previously served as a licensed Building Official in Connecticut. He holds a Master’s in Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with a transportation focus from the University of Connecticut.
His extensive experience and passion for Infrastructure development align perfectly with VN Engineers’ mission to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions nationwide. We are excited to welcome him on board as we continue to grow and evolve as a leader in the engineering industry.
